Ongalo's Substack
@ongalos-substack
(And Why You Should Subscribe Before Your Neighbour Does)My readers are not just anybody. These are not people who stumbled here looking for motivational quotes and a Bible verse, no, no. Ongalo's Substack people are a specific breed: the ones who grew up arguing at the dinner table, who have opinions about everything from the price of unga to the state of the nation, and who have definitely sent a voice note longer than three minutes to prove a point. We are Kenyans who have survived loading pages on 3G, who know that "I'm on my way" means at least forty-five more minutes, and who still showed up anyway, because that kind of resilience is our readership. We are people who laugh at funerals (respectfully), who debate with strangers on Twitter/X like it is a national duty, and who believe that a well-told story is worth more than any side hustle WhatsApp group you've ever been added to at 2am. Why should you join? Because you've been forwarding other people's articles in the family group chat for too long. It's time to send something of your own. Subscribe to Ongalo's Substack, and your cousins will finally think you're the smart one.I can't wait to meet you.
